Here is the card I created using the sketch:
I made this card for my 2 yr. old granddaughter who loves Sesame Street. Her favourite Sesame Street character is Elmo. I dug out an Ernie doll I had and tossed him into the wash with the idea that Amber (my 2 yr. old granddaughter) would like him. I thought I had checked him out all over but apparently I must have missed a hole as here is what poor Ernie looks like now:
Is there a doctor in the house?? I'm glad that I had put him in the washer by himself. He is leaning against all the stuffing that I hauled out of the washing machine. On the positive side, he is nice and clean and smells very nice as I used fabric softener when I washed him. I still haven't decided yet if I will perform major surgery or not. He is also missing one of his ears.

I love all of the stars on your card. Your Ernie story is so cute. My daughter was obseesed with this same doll. My husband washed it while my daughter was napping. He put it in the dryer and all the hair shrunk down.
Thanks for visiting me. Your card is lovely and I would repair Elmo and not throw him out!!!, xxxx
oh my! Don't you hate it when a fabulous idea turns out so badly!! Sounds like my luck--I think with as much stuffing as is showing in the pic, he can probably be revived, if you have the patience! Thanks for the feedback on the chair set--what a great story to hear... I hope Emily (my daughter) will take such good card of hers as well as your daughter did!! Love your card too!
Great card, I love your take on this sketch :)
Aww poor Ernie...
Hey Oma! You did an excellent job with the sketch. Love the sentiment. And thanks for the laugh with the Ernie doll. Talk about getting the stuffin knocked out of ya! LOL At least he is completely clean inside and out! HA! Hope you are well. . .Best, Curt
