Yesterday afternoon

On the spur of the moment, I decided to go to the creative show where I bought a knit scarf kit, 2 sock puppet kits for the granddaughters and some beads as well as knitting needles and a crimping tool for my beading. DH drove me there and then headed over to Woodbine to "play the horses." He didn't win. I sat outside while waiting for DH to pick me up and leafed through a Mary Maxim catalogue. It was warm, sunny but very windy. Got home at 4:30 and went straight to bed to nap. I napped for 2 hours!

I need to get off my butt and do some cleaning in the kitchen and I still have 2 loads of laundry to do before I leave for work at 11 a.m.

Spent this morning-------

Going out for breakfast at the Golden Arches. DH wanted hot cereal for breakfast, but I had a craving for an egg mcmuffin. I only had to mention it once, and he was half way out the door! I was prepared to pay but he gallantly paid for our breakfast. After we ate, we went outside to drink our coffee on McDonald's patio.

We both pitched in and gave both cars a good cleaning inside. He has now left with my car to get the outside washed at the car wash. I still have laundry to do and am not sure what I will be doing this afternoon other than going out to buy some hair spray. DH is planning to meet his BIL to hit a few golf balls at the driving range this evening at 7 p.m.

Had a great day yesterday. We went to visit my DD, SIL and Sierra and Brooke. We spent almost the entire time outside with them and took them to the park. They are both at such a fun age. Sierra sometimes cracks us up and loves to tease her Opa. (NO, that's my chair!). Brooke is trying very hard to stand up and loves being "walked around." She gets around by scooting on her butt. My nickname for her is "scuttle butt" but DD calls her Scooter. Got home fairly early, we were both tired from spending so much time out in the fresh air.

Some jewellery pieces I've made

Beaded Jewellery 015

Bought some focal beads and managed to find the smaller beads that matched the colour nicely. I really like this set but don't wear it very often.

Beaded Jewellery 016

I have made and sold some Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets. I have not mastered making earrings as yet and bought the earrings at a craft sale. I made the choker and wear it when I wear the bracelet and earrings.

Beaded Jewellery 027

I like to wear this necklace with tan coloured slacks and top.

Beaded Jewellery 029

One of my first attempts at making jewellery and I think it turned out rather nice.

Oma bracelet

Bracelet with Sierra's and Brooke's initials.

Vision in Pink - Closeup

This is actually a choker and I really like this necklace. Michaels is the only store where I have found the tiger eye beads with the clear swarovski crystals imbedded in them. Made with silver beads and swarovski crystal beads and tiger eye beads.

A special bracelet

Name bracelet

I made this for my sister-in-law, Claire who is married to my brother, Peter. Peter suffers from Frontal Lobe Dementia which I belive is a form of Azlheimer's Disease. Claire has been through a lot with Peter's illness and I wanted to give her something very special.

Anna aka Oma

My son-in-law, Rob

The day after I met Rob, I told my boss that I thought I had just met my future son-in-law. It took a long time before he actually became part of our family, but I am glad he did. He is a wonderful husband and an extremely good father.

My daughter and my son.

Look out world, here I come!

I had a blog once, but do not know what happened to it. I am hoping to share my thoughts and my crafting. I enjoy making beaded jewellery, counted cross stitch and knitting.
