Freshly made Sketches #259

I have always enjoyed the sketches at Freshly Made Sketches and have played along several times, just not lately.  When I saw this week's sketch; I knew what I wanted to do with it.  Without further ado; here is the sketch:

Here is the card I made using the sketch as inspiration:

I used Brunswick Green card stock by Sue Wilson for the background and the wreath.  I added some red rhinestones by Couture Creations.  The Merry die cut is by Stamps of Life and the Christmas die cut is unknown as it was a freebie that I received.  They were both cut with Ruby card stock by Sue Wilson.  The holly design paper is from a 6 x 6 paper pad but I cannot remember which company it is by as I just had a few pieces of the paper in my stash.

I enjoyed making this card and am quite pleased at how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by!

Another card for the

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge.  As I mentioned in my earlier post; I really like the Plaid Christmas 6 x 6 paper pad from Lawn Fawn.  I was going through my Christmas Dies and when I came across the Poinsettia Christmas Bell; I immediately knew it would look nice on a background of plaid paper.

Here is the card I made using the Christmas bell by Cottage Cutz along with the Merry Christmas Die by Yvonne Creations.

I really like both these dies and have already made several Christmas Cards with them.  The tiny rhinestones are by Couture Creations.  Once again the cardstock is by Sue Wilson designs - Ruby and Brunswick Green.  I am very pleased at how this card turned out.

I can see so many possiblities for cards using the plaid paper pads by Lawn Fawn.  I also have the winter plaid paper pad which has shades of blue which will be perfect for the snowflake dies I have in my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Monday Challenge

I've been meaning to play along with the Merry Monday Challenge for a long time.  Today I took the plunge as I really like the challenge which is to use plaid.  When I went to Scrapfest last month I got the Lawn Fawn 6 x 6 inch paper pad - Christmas Plaid.  Without further ado, here is the card I created:

I love the papers in this paper pad.  The stamp is by Stampin' Up - Snow Swirled.  I love this stamp and have used it a lot.  The cardstock is by Susan Wilson - Ruby and Brunswick Green which I bought at Ecstasy Crafts on my way home from my vacation last month.  I love the rich colours of this card stock.  The glittered enamel dots are from Your Next Stamp and I punched out the star out of some gold glittered card stock I had in my stash.  I love how this card turned out.  I am looking forward to making more cards using the plaid paper.
