PCCCS #63

While blurfing (blog surfing) yesterday; I came across the current Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge.  I really liked the sketch and wanted to play along so I did.

Here is the sketch:

And here is the card I created using the sketch:

I used white card stock as the base and for the embossed panel.  The embossing folder is from SU - Petals A Plenty.  The poinsettias are from Dee's Distinctively Dies  I only used the 3 smaller dies as I wouldn't have had room on the card for 3 had I used the largest flower die.  I added gold flat back pearls to the centre of the poinsettias. The gold and the red ribbon is from my stash.  The border was punched using a Fiskars Scallop punch.  The red card stock is SU's Real Red and the green cardstock is SU's Wild Wasabi.  The sentiment which is from Verve Stamps was stamped with SU's Real Red ink.  The flower button on the red bow is from CTMH.  It took a while to make this card mainly because of all the die cutting I had to do. All in all I am very pleased with this card and hubby's reaction when he saw it was Wow!  If hubby likes it, then I know my card is pretty.  I think this is probably my favourite Christmas card I've made and I've already decided who the recipient will be.
Thanks for stopping by!
