I am so excited!

Right now, I am grinning from ear to ear!  Finally after entering numerous sketch challenges, I am proud to say that this card earned me a top 3 pick from Try Stampin' on Tuesday!  See my badge there on the right?

I made the card for Bela who collects and makes cards for the children at the Hospital for Sick Children here in Toronto.  I am a proud member of the Smiley Team and along with 2 of my grandchildren, make cards for Kards for Kids at HSC.  I met Bela for the first time this past Saturday at Scrapfest in Oshawa where she was helping Karen from Your Next Stamp in her booth teach the make and takes.  Bela is a very generous and loving person and had the biggest hug for me on Saturday.  Today is her birthday and I wanted to give her a special card as I consider her to be a very special person.  Please visit her blog Kards for Kids at HSC and tell her Anna sent you and while you're there, please wish her a Happy Birthday!

I should also mention that Karen from Your Next Stamp is one of our generous sponsors along with High Hopes Stamps as well as Lora from One Crazy Stamper in Bolton ON and Kimmie from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps near London ON.

My favourite time of year which is Christmas is approaching very quickly and I will be busy making cards not only for myself to send and/or give to family and friends but also making cards for Kards for Kids.  If you would like to join us, please contact Bela through her blog.  The deadline for sending cards to Bela for distribution is Dec. 1st but you will need to get them to her before that date.  If you would like her address to send cards to her; please contact me privately.

Thanks for stopping by!

Congrats! And it's so lovely that you support such a worthy charity with your card making! I'm looking for a charity here in the UK to support (because overseas parcels would be too expensive to send regularly!, but can't seem to find any that aren't one-off card sales... *sigh* x
