1st card for 2011

This is a thank you card I made for my Secret Pal on Pacific Coast Planet.  She has sent me 3 cards and lots of goodies.  The last card and goodies I received from her had her return address on the envelope.  I don't know her name but I do know her address and she lives in Nova Scotia.  She sent me lots of punched butterflies of every colour and size so I used 2 of them on this card.

The card stock has butterflies embossed on it and the designer paper I chose also has lots of butterflies.  I used a round punch to punch out the designer paper.  The sentiment was computer generated (I got a printer/scanner/photocopier for Christmas from my granddaughters) and I cut it with an oval Nestibility in my Cuttlebug.  The pale yellow ribbon was also sent to me by my Secret Pal (I think!).  I plan to make a similar thank you card for my granddaughters only I will punch out heart shapes for their card.

I also scanned this card and I think the scanner picked up the embossed butterflies on the card stock a lot better.  Here is the scanned card:

I find it very interesting that the scanned card is not true as far as the colour goes.  The picture I took is much better colour wise.  I think I'll scan my cards and take pictures and then use the one that turns out the best in future posts.

Thanks for stopping by!
