AHSC #149

I love the sketch at Atlantic Hearts Challenge this week, so decided to play along.  Without further ado, here is the sketch:

Here is the card I created using the sketch as inspiration:

I remembered that I had a sizzix present die so decided to add them to the inside of the card.  Here is the inside:

I have had the sizzix die for a long time and don't know why I don't use it more often.  It cuts and embosses at the same time so is very easy to use.  The design paper is SU's It's my Party which can be found in the Occasions Catalogue which ends on May 31st.  The co-ordinating stamp set is Party Wishes also from the same catalogue.  The card base is white with a layer of Crushed Curry, and I layered the design paper on black to make it stand out.  The small banners are Melon Mambo and I stamped the sentiment onto a Mint Macaroon banner with Stazon black ink.  All the banner dies   are by Taylored Expressions.  The sentiment inside the card was stamped with Melon Mambo and I cut the present dies using Melon Mambo and Mint Macaroon.  I could not get a very good picture of the inside of the card so the presents aren't quite as bright as they appear to be in the photo.  I really like this stamp set and paper pad.  I also got the mini punches which consists of a balloon, cupcake and candles.  I am very happy with this card and love the design paper pad, stamp set and punches and am looking forward to making a lot of birthday cards with this set.

Thanks for stopping by!
