It's been awhile since I played along with Freshly Made Sketches. When I saw the sketch for this week; I had several ideas for it.
Here is the sketch:
Here is the card I made using the sketch as inspiration:
The design paper, card stock and image are from the Frames and Sentiments Card making kit from Gina K designs. I love this kit and have made several cards with it. The sentiment from Taylored Expressions was heat embossed with white embossing powder. I love how this card turned out and can see myself making more cards with this sketch.

AHSC #108
I had just received some new papers & sentiments from my Stamps of Life kit as well as 3 new edge punches from Tattered Lace and decided to incorporate them for this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #108.
Here is the sketch:

I really like the light green and royal blue combination and was happy that the Tattered Lace die matches the flowers on the design paper from the Stamps of Life.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #104
It's been a while since I played along with an Atlantic Hearts Challenge. When I saw this week's challenge; I couldn't wait to play along! I love 3 time stamping!
Here is the sketch:
And here is my card:
The card base and card stock layers are all Cherry Cobbler from SU. I love this colour but sadly SU has retired it. I am hoping to get some more soon. The stamped image is a background stamp - also from SU called Something Lacy. The sentiment is a word die from Little B called Handwritten and there are 18 word dies in the set for different occasions. I popped up the design on foam dots on the card base. I had initially used Cherry Cobbler for the sentiment die but it was just a bit too much Cherry Cobbler so I re-cut it using white card stock. I am very pleased at how this card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by!

AHSC #90
I love this week's sketch on Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge so decided to play along.
Here is the sketch:
And here is the card I created using the sketch:
The design paper is from Recollections 6 x 6 paper pad - Love which I've had in my stash for at least 2 years. I also used Cherry Cobbler card stock from SU to die cut the keys and hearts which are from the December Stamps of Life card making kit. The sentiment is also from the kit and was stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink by SU. I really like this card and love the Cherry Cobbler colour. This card will be going to a child at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Thanks for stopping by!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #282
The Tuesday Morning Sketches #282 is one that appeals to me so I decided to play along. It is a very easy sketch and would be great for making quite a few cards in relatively little time.
Here is the sketch:
Here is the card I created using the sketch as inspiration:
The design paper, card stock, ribbon & sentiment are from the Dec. Stamps of Life card making kit. The candy dots embellishments are from my stash. The die cut is by Stampin' Up. I made this card for Smiles4SickKids and I hope that the child at Sick Kids hospital in Toronto who receives this card will like it as much as I do.
I will probably make more cards using this sketch and changing up the die cut. I have hearts, stars, circles, and square dies that I can use. I also have a ton of ribbon in my stash!
Thanks for stopping by!

Can You Case it Challenge #51
While surfing pinterest one day, I came across a card I really liked and realized it was made for a challenge. Namely, Can You Case it Challenge. Every week they have a different challenge with the 1st week being a sketch challenge, 2nd week they have a color challenge, 3rd week a Clean and Quick challenge etc.
This week was a sketch challenge and my regular readers will know I love sketch challenges. Here is the sketch:
Here is the valentine card I made for a child at Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto ON Canada using the sketch as inspiration:

Design paper & ribbon is from the Dec. Stamps of Life card making kit. Heart shaped brads are from my stash. The image which I got at Michaels quite a long time ago is stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink by SU and is layered onto red glitter paper.
I hope that the child at Sick Kids who receives this card will like it as much as I do.

I am taking advantage of the fact that Mr. Mojo is still sticking around. I love this weeks Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge so decided to play along.
Here is the sketch:
Here is the card I created:
There is absolutely no stamping at all on this card. It is 4 x 4. The card stock is by Bazill; ribbons from my stash and the design paper is from a 6 x 6 Doodlebug Paper Pad - Love Bugs. I love the paper in this pad. The sentiment is also part of this paper pad and I fussy cut it out. This was a fun card to put together and I hope the child at Sick Kids will like it as much as I do.

Freshly Made Sketches #167
Yesterday I made 5 valentine cards for Smiles4SickKids. When I saw this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches; I knew I wanted to make a card using the sketch as inspiration.
Here is the sketch:
Here is the Valentine's Day Card I made using this sketch as inspiration:
White card stock base, red card stock is from Bazill and the design paper as well as the sentiment which was stamped using SU's Cherry Cobbler are from The Stamps of Life December Kit. The heart is by Martha Stewart and the pearl (which hides the glue dot I used to adhere the heart) is by Forever in Time.
I hope that the child at Sick Childrens Hospital in Toronto ON Canada will be just as pleased with this card as I am.
Thanks for stopping by!

I know what you're thinking! It's about time that Oma posted again! My only excuse is that Mr. Mojo went walkies but I'm happy to say that he returned!
When I saw the sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge; I wanted to play along. I made not 1 but 2 cards for the sketch. Here is the sketch:
Here are the cards I created using the sketch as inspiration:
I used a window card base that I had in my stash. The heart which is from Stamps of Life was cut using my cuttlebug. The sentiment is also from the Stamps of Life and was also cut using my cuttlebug. The swirled pearls have been in my stash for a very long time and I was happy to pull them out and attach them to this card.
All the elements and papers except the 2 pink pearls used on this card are from the Dec. Stamps of Life cardmaking kit. I really like the kit and will be making most of my valentine cards with it. I used SU's Cherry Cobbler ink to ink up the image and sentiment.
I am happy that Mr. Mojo has finally returned after his long absence and can't wait to play along with a few more challenges soon!
