I am a past design team member of Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and Michelle who runs it asked all the past design team members if they would like to be a guest designer. I immediately jumped at the chance and chose this week's sketch to make a card. After about 2 weeks with no snow and mild temperatures, winter has decided to visit us again in Milton ON. We woke up this morning to 1 1/2 inches of the heavy white stuff but with mild temperatures. I think hubby was secretly happy to see the snow as it gave him an excuse to get out of the house to shovel. We have a very short driveway and a very small portion of sidewalk to clear so it did not take him very long. I hate winter but do have to admit that the snow looked very pretty this morning. My favourite season is spring and with that in mind, I made my card.
Here is the sketch:
Here is how I interpreted the sketch:
White cardstock base, the green & yellow cardstock is by Stamps of Life as well as the sentiment die with its matching shadow die. The ribbon is also from Stamps of Life and is actually a light shade of yellow but appears to be white in the photo. The flat back pearls are by Forever in Time. The design paper is from a 6 x 6 paper pad - Sunkissed by Doodlebug Designs.
I am happy with how this card turned out and it will probably be mailed out to one of my friends just to let her know I am thinking of her.
